Our Trip
Last fall I got married, and for our honeymoon we decided to visit Oahu, Hawaii. It was our first time there, so everything felt new and exciting. We were looking forward to the beaches, the warm weather, and especially trying fresh local food.
One thing we really wanted to do was try tropical fruits that we do not normally buy at home. We thought Hawaii would be the perfect place for that because of the warm climate and the variety of local produce.
Local Market
On Saturday, we went to a local market and bought a variety of tropical fruits. There were so many different colors, shapes, and smells that it was hard to choose. We ended up buying several fruits because we wanted to try as many as possible.
We had really high expectations because everything looked fresh and different from what we usually see at home. We were excited to bring everything back and have our own little fruit tasting.

Trying the Fruits
When we came back and started tasting everything, the experience was a little different from what we expected. Some of the fruits were too ripe, while others were not ripe enough yet.
Mango and passion fruit were still our favorites, but we had already tried them before. None of the other fruits really stood out to us as much as we hoped.
Even though the fruit tasting did not go exactly as planned, it was still a fun experience. It gave us something to laugh about, and it became one of the small memories from our honeymoon that we still remember.
